"We stayed at your hotel on a fluke... we drove from Missouri to Florida in 1 1/2 days we arrived in daytona beach at 4am my husband was exhausted.. We put the address of the hotel we were supposed to stay at in the gps and it did not take us to the right location.. we ended up in a empty lot on the wrong side of street.. soo needless to say with 2 cranky teenagers a very cranky driver and a mom trying to keep peace we looked for he first clean hotel we could find and we landed on Tropical Winds doorstep.. Brian your night attendent was amazing and soo very sweet.. he got me our rooms quickly and we looked at nothing we all crashed.. the next day we awoke to a beautiful sunny beach wonderful ocean sounds.. and laughter filled swimming pool.. the hotel was much better then where we had planned on staying.. it was also 1/2 the price , which gave us more spending money also not to mention perfect location on the strip of Atlantic Dr. I just want to let all future travelers know this hotel is perfect for the money, clean beds, nice staff, clean pools, and awesome location for doing anything you want from bar hopping to shopping to carnival rides... I can tell you this I will be back and I wont even need to look up hotels .. cause I will always be staying at Tropical Winds and telling all my friends to do the same... Tropical Winds you have a customer for life.

"I had the pleasure of staying 4 nights when my husband and I attended the Coke Zeero 400 and was very happy with our stay. We were greeted at the front desk by a friendly woman who checked us in and told us our room was ready. It was clean and cool and spacious. The grounds were well care for, the pool and pool area clean and neat. There were plenty of towels and lounge chairs in the pool area. The pool cafe offered simple food that was reasonably priced and very good. The staff in the cafe as well as the staff throughout the hotel were all friendly and courteous. My DH and I were always greeted as we walked throughout the hotel and when we checked out we 'knew' the front desk staff as they had all been chatting with us throughout our stay. It was a pleasure to return to our room and see that our houskeepr had remembered that we liked extra towels and to see out bed turned down for us."

"Is it the best hotel in DB area? YES! trust me, for over 20 years i visit DB and the best place is definatly the Tropical Winds? Why? always the smile from everybody there, very clean rooms, quiet place, nice nice nice view on the ocean front rooms! And always the best deal!
This year they put a message on the hotel sign to say happy brthday to my little one and he's so proud to see his name on the street!
for sure, (after so many times at TW) i definatly stay there on the next trip

"Sorry I keep thinking of things to say on my comments but i wanted to say Gwen is such a nice lady along with everyone at tropical winds. Me ,my brother in law, and best friend stayed here from july 14th 2010 july 19th 2010 perfect view room 706 perfect staff perfect hotel, I feel i left part of me in daytona beach almost like i left my home I am counting down the days till our next trip planned july 1st thru july 10 2011 wished it come fast im bringing my wife 2 year old and baby girl be 8 months old. Now i'm back home in boring springfield mo 900 miles away not day goes by that i dont think of DAYTONA BEACH better yet florida itself, hoping plans go right gonna move there next year after wife sees this beautiful state!!!"

"we have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.. its clean its beautiful and well maintained .. the staff were awesome this was our second time staying here.. but this time we came to daytona for a week stay and we thought we found a great deal for a 4day stay on daytona beach at a hotel called the hawaiian inn... NEVER AGAIN ....that was a huge mistake and when we canx our reservations at that hawaiian inn we came back to tropical winds and they welcomed us with open arms and even gave a deal on our rooms... tropical winds is our home on daytona beach for sure and i would recommend this place to everyone.. rooms were very clean the ac was nice and cold the view from the balcony was absolutely breath takingly beautiful the full kitchen was great and everything worked and i mean it has everything!!! its location is perfect on atlantic ave and is very close to boardwalk and activities and stores everything is right there ... we cant wait to get to come there and stay again....thank you so much for your awesome hospitality at tropical winds.. big thanks to the staff there !!!"

"We really liked staying there. We went in Sept. off season, but the hotel was CLEAN, no bugs whatsoever!! We enjoyed the resturant, very nice people, prices you cant beat!!!! I would stay there again. Im very picky and a clean freak, was worried, but...it was great!!!!! Loved it! We will stay again. I have OCD, if that gives you a clue how clean it was!!!"

"We stayed at this hotel on a whim after driving for 3 days from missouri with 2 teenagers in the car .. I was willing to sleep in a tent..lol.. however at 2am this hotel looked like our best bet.. and boy did we choose right. This hotel was so reasonable .. expecially since we didn't have reservations. The man at the front desk at 2am that night was amazing he met all our needs for arriving so late at night set us up with a cot and lots of extra pillows and blankets. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was amazing .. I recommend this hotel to even the pickeyest guest it may have been a 3 star hotel but they treatest us like 5 star guests and we will absoultley be back as soon as possible."

"We stay at the Tropical Winds at the new year eve..... it's our hotel in DB nothing else beat the tropical winds and his hospitality, the staff is wonderfull, Christine, Gwen, Tanja, Safaa, Billy, Franz and all others!!!! Good Price, Good View, Clean rooms. It's Home away from home!
The only downside was that we have this hotel is the paradise, so for us to go home is not desirable, always difficult to leave this place ;-)

"Another great time at the Tropical Winds! Just arrived back home to 43 degrees from the wonderful 90s. Our stay was just great, as always wonderful staff, great little cafe and their staff, clean, quiet rooms, wonderful view from the balcony. Appreciated staff's assistance and comments with regard to driving down to Titusville for Endevours launch, we stayed on the beach in front of hotel and as it turns out got a better view than those at KSC.
